PROTOTYPING ENERGY KLIPPER-3

PROTOTYPING 

To verify the numerical hypothesis, the VAWT prototype was designed under the name ENERGY KLIPPER-3. The WT was installed on the bank of the Kama river.
In 2021-2022, we observed the prototype of ENERGY KLIPPER-3, working at 58º north latitude (city of Perm, the Russian Federation) in the winter conditions of cold, snow and ice blasts. The estimated cost of power produced by the prototype with the wind of 6 m/s amounts to ±0,07 $/kWh (the calculations have been performed based on power price of 0.15$/kWh for 6 years).
The cost of the prototype manufacturing was 1,320$, including the cost of works, manufacturing of original one-off modules, purchase of structural elements at retail prices. The cost of power for the 6 years of operation with 50% energy conversion at the rotor into power amounts to minus 0.077 $/kWh (negative value).
The prototype contains the power generator on the permanent magnets with mass production. 

The increase of the electric current generation is achieved by increasing the number of generators to 2-3 pcs or the use of another generator type operating at low speed.
